The Delhi Metro is a rapid transit system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Noida in the National Capital Region of India. It is the world’s 14th longest metro system in terms of length. It has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using both broad gauge and standard gauge. The Delhi Metro network consists of eight color-coded lines, with a total length of 377 kilometers (234 mi) serving 286 stations. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) operates the Delhi Metro. It was built and operated by the Government of India and the Government of Delhi.
